There is more than one way to get the job done. Phil Grande is
scheduled to fill in for Bruce Williams, but Phil’s ISDN line is not
working and Verizon is doing their normal “head scratching”. The show
must go on! What to do? Ron Crider to the rescue. Crider
took one of his Telos Exports to Venice where Phil’s studio is located.
The Export was connected to a POTS line. Phil’s studio then dialed up
Crider’s TOC in Vero Beach, Florida. There, the Export/Xstream call was
re-feed to the LifeSyle network over an ISDN line to then be sent to
hundreds of radio stations around the US as well as XM Radio. The Telos
Export/xstream systems delivered first class audio quality and solid
reliability. Even with the added latency calls were taken with the
switching taking place in Connecticut with no noticeable delay. If you
